Hamisolve® 622 is a light colored, transparent degreasing solvent used in many applications for removal of oils, greases, mill soils, etc. Can be used on all metals, as received, by dip, spray or wipe. It will evaporate completely leaving surfaces clean and dry. Hamiterge® 1934-RP is a concentrated liquid emulsion cleaner for removal of oily films, metallic chips and fines, shop or mill dirt, and lube oil residues from steel, cast iron and aluminum surfaces. It is designed for use in single stage cleaning operations; immersion tanks or roto-brush type washers at elevated or ambient temperatures. It may be used diluted with hot or cold water and is free rinsing. It provides rust protection to steel and it is non-staining to aluminum. Hamiterge® 2038-LFM is a highly caustic liquid alkaline cleaner for immersion cleaning operations requiring a strongly alkaline solution. It is for removal of extremely difficult soils from ferrous metal surfaces at elevated temperatures. It has excellent wetting and detergency. It can be used at high concentration and elevated temperature for removal of phosphate coatings and drawing lube residues from steel parts, such as tube, rod, bar, or wire. It is completely soluble in water and is free rinsing. Purgitol® S-8 is a concentrated liquid cleaner for rolling oil and other mill soil removal from steel strip by application through spray headers at the last stand on a four or five stand cold reducing tandem mill. Purgitol® S-8 may also be used as a water soluble straightener lubricant for wire or rods on roll straightener equipment. It has excellent corrosion protection, boundary lubrication and is low foaming (for recirculating sprays). Purgitol® S is the answer for machine shops seeking to replace toxic, odorous, irritating solvents in their immersion cleaning operations. Purgitol® S cleans machining and drawing oils and lubricants, yet it contains no flammable or toxic ingredients. Purgitol® RPV-1 is a liquid metal cleaner concentrate for use in immersion tanks, ultrasonic cleaning, or rotary barrel cleaning systems. Its use is for removal of oily soils, such as machining, grinding, or drawing oil residues, synthetic coolants, rust preventives, lubricating oils, and rolling oils. It can be used on steel, cast and malleable iron, and non-ferrous metal surfaces. Immunol® S-6-H is a detergent type cleaner for soak tank cleaning and degreasing of ferrous and non-ferrous parts. It emulsifies oils such as drawing compounds and rust preventives, and removes mill soils and smut very effectively. It may also be used for general purpose cleaning as a “bucket” solvent to replace more flammable or toxic materials. If used on aluminum, extended immersion times (one hour or more) produce darkening. Use Immunol® S-6-I as an alternative for aluminum. Immunol® 1357-2-J is a clear, medium body, green liquid. It is odorless, non-flammable and pH 7.0 neutral. It is used in paper manufacturing as calendar roll cleaner and felt conditioner. It is used as additive to soluble oil (or synthetic) systems to emulsify “tramp” or hydraulic oil, loosen sludge, settle heavy particles, lift “fines” or lighter bodies to the surface. This product prevents stains or rust on ground or polished work and prevents “smut” formation in rolling when added to the soluble rolling oil. It is also a successful and economical machine, floor and wall cleaner mixed with plain water at 2 to 6 ounces per gallon and applied by brush, mop, or rag. Atmoscleer® 1785 is a foam blanket and fume suppressant for sulphuric acid pickle baths. Small amounts produce a heavy foam which cuts fumes and saves energy. This product may also be used for phosphoric acid baths. Atmoscleer® 8001 is a foam blanket additive for hydrochloric acid batch pickling baths. It imparts a densely packed, uniform layer of foam on the surface of a steel pickling bath. Some agitation may be required to generate the foam layer when there is not enough pickling action occurring, such as when the bath temperature is very low (below 1000F). It is extremely stable in hydrochloric acid baths containing high amounts of dissolved iron and under high temperature conditions. It cuts down on heat loss and holds corrosive hydrochloric fumes in the bath. It should be used in conjunction with Activol® acid inhibitors for hydrochloric acids, such as Activol® 1803, Activol® 1590-C, Activol® 1590–CP or Activol® 1903 for best results in batch pickling operations. Activol® 1357 is an additive for sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric and hydrofluoric acid pickling and cleaning solutions and may be used as specialty additive on titanium in nitric acid baths. Activol® 1357 reduces surface tension, accelerates acid action and provides detergency in solution. This product also serves as a mild inhibitor to minimize acidic attack on base metal during scale removal. It promotes complete rinsing and reduces fume formation. Activol® 1590-CP is an additive for hydrochloric acid pickling solutions which imparts both “wetting” and detergency, while inhibiting base metal attack and offering fume control. Particularly useful in low temperature batch or continuous operations, Activol® 1590-CP prevents over-pickling and provides acid savings, reduces metal weight loss, fumes and hydrogen embitterment. This product produces a bright uniform finish, prolongs pickle tank life, increases the speed of the pickling process and makes clear solutions in all acid concentrations which will not break down in acid storage tanks. Activol® 1658 is a wetting and detergency additive for pickling and acid brightening baths. It is extremely stable to both high electrolyte and oxidation and can be used in the nitric and nitric/hydrofluoric acid combinations used for pickling stainless steels, zirconium, titanium, and other highly alloyed or exotic metals. It is classified as a medium “foamer” and will produce a foam blanket to hold down toxic oxide fumes and steam vapor. Activol® 1803 is the most efficient member of a line of hydrochloric acid pickling bath additives formulated for continuous hydrochloric picklers, including deep bath conventional and shallow dynamic systems. It provides all the requirements of a good pickling inhibitor including: descaling ability, high % efficiency (protection), excellent rinsability, reduced acid consumption, reduced gage and metal loss, durability, reduced hydrogen embrittlement, fume reduction and results in uniformly bright pickled surfaces. Hamico® Neutralizer 809-L is a combination of liquid alkalis and surface-active (wetting) agents designed specifically for neutralizing acidic residues from ferrous metals after pickling operations.
