Heavy Duty Drawing Lubricant Released: Monday, June 28, 1999
Philadelphia, Pa.— HAMIDRAW 1846-VLF, has been developed by HARRY MILLER CORP. for drawing of all grades of stainless steel, and alloy steel, bars and wire. This new product development eliminates the need for pre-coating and produces a shiny finish on shaped and round bars and wire.
When pre-coating is followed by a wet lubricant, a mottled or marred finish is usually experienced. HAMIDRAW 1846-VLF combines the pre-coat with the lubricant, and allows for the option of eliminating the extra [pre-coat] step. HAMIDRAW 1846-VLF is a pigmented straight-oil lubricant, heavily fortified with extreme-pressure friction reducing agents, providing enhanced die life, and permits longer interval between repolishing steps.
HAMIDRAW 1846-VLF cleans freely and easily in alkali or detergent washes, in spray or immersion systems. The product is available in pails, drums, and totes from HARRY MILLER CORP., and their authorized distributors.
